The first Regional Development Cooperation Culture Fair will be appropriately held in Petrinja on the European Day of Sustainable Communities, 22nd September. The fair of of a non-profit character, with the purpose of creating networks, informing and educating local manufacturers and communities about sustainable development with a particular focus on business and social activities that contribute to the revitalisation and sustainability of the Sisak-Moslavina County.
The fair will be held in a big tent at the Croatian Veteran’s Square where 50 promotional stands will be set up during the day at which different family farming businesses (OPGs) from Petrinja, the Sisak-Moslavina County, and all of Croatia will be showcasing their products. Visitors of the fair will be able to enjoy a large assortment of fruit, vegetables, rakija, gingerbread, jams, honey, and charcuterie.
“The regional fair is a great opportunity to foster cooperation among OPGs as well as between OPGs and the customers. We will have workshops during which we will learn something, but also offer our first-hand experience. Through showcasing and presenting our products at the stands people will learn about what we offer. That is what makes these manifestations useful”, points out Željka Vuletić from Petrinja who will be presenting aronia-based ecologically grown products from her OPG Željka Vuletić.
The daily program of the Fair will start at 10:00 o’clock with a public discussion on perspectives about renewal and revitalisation of the Sisak-Moslavina County and will continue with educational workshops for OPG-ers, catering, performances of folk artists, and the “Development Festival”.
