Campaign Report „Let’s ease their worries “

With an agreement between the SOLIDARNA Foundation and Zelena energetska zadruga (Green Energy Association; ZEZ) signed on 18^th October 2022, an action was started to gather means to provide energy-saving packages to senior citizens in the municipality of Zagreb who are living below the poverty line or are at risk of poverty. The goal of the campaign was to raise 60 000 HRK in order to purchase 100 energy-saving packages. The campaign took place from 26^th October to 1^st December 2022.

We succeeded! Bravo and a sincere thank you to everyone. We will be able to help our senior citizens save energy in the cold times that are approaching.

1.General Information

Purpose of donation: Providing energy-saving packages to at-risk elderly households

Beneficiary of donation: Elderly households who fulfil the necessary requirements and who have applied to ZEZ for assistance

Date of submission of the report: 5^th December 2022

Overall sum of donations gathered: 64.713,47 HRK

2. Gathering of the means

From 26^th October to 1^st December 2022 a total of 64.713,47 HRK was payed into the giro account for urgent and crisis actions of the SOLIDARNA Foundation.

During the action, 189 individual donations were made, of which 178 were made by physical persons while 11 were made by legal persons. The smallest individual donation amounted to 5 HRK and the highest to 10 395 HRK, while the average donation amounted to 342.39 HRK.

Remark: One (1) individual donation was made without a call to the dedicated phone number or the dedicated payment description. Regardless, it is assumed that this payment was intended as a donation to the campaign and is thus included in this report.

All donors, whether physical or legal persons, went through the assessment process according to the Rulebook on Relations with Donors and the Rulebook for Managing Conflict of Interest of the SOLIDARNA foundation.

The SOLIDARNA Foundation will include the results of this collaborative action in its report to the City Office for Social Protection and People with Disabilities, Department of Humanitarian Aid.

3. Further steps

The SOLIDARNA Foundation and ZEZ are starting the process of purchasing the energy-saving packages, while ZEZ will evaluate the applications they received and create a final list of the households that were selected and that will receive the energy-saving packages along with free energy counselling.
