Following the Decision of the Foundation Board regarding the dismissal of Vanja Škorić as a member of the Foundation Board on November 10, 2020 and the Decision of the Foundation Board on initiating the procedure of electing a new member to the Foundation Board, on November 10, 2020 and Article 17 of the Statute of the SOLIDARNA Foundation, we are publishing a call for nominations for members of the Foundation Board. This call was announced on 8.12. 2020 with the deadline for submitting nominations no later than midnight on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 via the link to the following survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/nominacija-ZU_Solidarna.
According to Art. 15. of the Statute of SOLIDARNA, the Foundation Board consists of at least three founders and a maximum of two persons from the wider public. The current members are: (1) Sanja Sarnavka, President of the Foundation Board, (2) Mirjana Matešić, Deputy President of the Foundation administration, (3) Nebojša Taraba, film producer, (4) Zlata Paštar, professor at the I. Gymnasium in Zagreb. Furthermore, we invite all founders and the interested public to submit nominations for a member of the Foundation Board by December 22, 2020.
According to Art. 16 of the Statute of SOLIDARNA, members of the Foundation Board are elected on the basis of personal candidacy or via nomination, with an explanation of professional competencies, professional experience and public actions by which the candidate can contribute to the programmatic and financial development of the Foundation, as well as management and promotion of the Foundation.
A member of the Foundation’s Management Board may not be a direct or indirect recipient of the Foundation’s grants, personally or as a member, member of the governing body or employee of a legal entity receiving the Foundation’s grants, or a person whose first relative is a member of the governing body or an employee of a legal entity that is a recipient of grants from the Foundation. Also, in accordance with the Rulebook on Conflict of Interest of Management, SOLIDARNA Foundation Management Board members cannot be a member of a political party.
According to the decision of November 10, 2020, regarding the Foundation Board initiating this call, the Manager of the Foundation is obliged to initiate the procedure for candidacies for a member of the Foundation Board according to Article 17. of the Statute of SOLIDARNA, following which the Foundation Board will make a decision at the session to be held by the end of December, 2020. The invitation for nominations for membership in the Foundation Board is sent by the Foundation Manager to all founders. According to Article 17 of the Statute, all candidacies for membership in the foundation administration must be submitted in writing to the Foundation Managers no later than 72 hours before the session. The administrative processing of applications will be carried out by Secretary, Ivan Blažević in cooperation with Dražen Hoffmann as a verifier. All founders will be invited to a meeting of the Foundation Board to be held in late December, 2020.
